TIDE Lowcountry, Inc. is a filed South Carolina nonprofit currently pursuing 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status. We are actively seeking grant partnerships and community investment.
Beaufort County has one of the most active recovery communities in South Carolina — and one of the largest gaps in post-treatment support services. People leave treatment without the practical skills to sustain independent living. The result is relapse, crisis, and repeated demand on emergency and social services. TIDE Lowcountry addresses that gap directly.
People in recovery and those new to independent living consistently lack foundational life skills — budgeting, housing navigation, legal literacy, parenting basics, and job readiness. These gaps drive relapse, family instability, and repeated crisis.
Life skills education and crisis navigation reduce demand on emergency services, social services, and the justice system. Every participant who learns to manage a household, maintain housing, and navigate resources independently represents measurable cost savings to the community.
TIDE Lowcountry's volunteer instructor model keeps program delivery costs low while maximizing community engagement. Retired professionals, local business owners, and community experts donate their time. Grant funding covers operations, not instruction.
